Week 2

Hey Everyone! This week has gone by so quick! Days here at the MTC feel like weeks, yet I am also learning the a week feels like a day, go figure. Well it has been a good week. Elder and Sister Oak came to the Tuesday night fireside. It was so cool! You can for sure feel the power of an apostle when you are in the same room, or even just while listening to their voices. WOHOO Confrencess this week!!!!
Oh so this week we got MTC 'punked'. Do you remember Ben our investigator, well his real name is Brother Swenson, who just happens to be our other teacher! Yep completly exposed to the teacher the first week of class :)  Tuesday we found out that we only had one more lesson with him because he had to drop us due to a job he got. Well after the last lesson he came into our class room and explained that he was only acting as an investigator so that he could know more of how he could help us....Yep we got PUNKED! :)
The german is slowly coming, I feel like I am not progressing as fast as need to hit the field in less then a month. But I am learing to rely more on the spirit as I teach which in the long run will mean more anyways.
This week I had a really cool experinces. Me and another sister in my Zone, Sis. Thorton, decided to go on a night walk after class. IT WAS AMAZING! As I was looking up at the stars, I remembered why it was that I am here on a mission. I often hear people saw that they feel the spirit more here at the MTC then they have ever felt in their life...I think they need to come on a river trip and stay up with me and look at the stars at Big Bend. That night as I was looking at the sky I felt my Saviors love SO strongly. I know that He loves me and is watching out for me. I am so thankful for that knowledge. Another time I felt the spirit this week was on our sunday temple walk. I went behind the temple and up the south east hill where I was able to look at both the mountains as well as Utah Lake. It is hard not being able to see Gods handy work every day like I am use to, but the moments that I get are special! These are the moments that make the learning I am doing here at the MTC a little easier to handle.
I truly do know that the work I have been called to do, is the work of God. I know that He is watching out for me, and knows the thoughts and feelings that I have been having. He has been caring enought to allow me those 'Nature Breaks' that seem to bring everything back into perspective. I KNOW that if we but turn to Him that eventuly, and on his time table, He will answer the questions that our in our heart. And I know that until He gives us the answers, that He gives us the strength to wait. I Often times feel His love, and can't wait to bring the joy of that feeling to those in Germany!
Until Next Week

WEEK 1

Gotten Tag!

Wow this week has been crazy! The MTC is really diffrent then I thought it would be for sure!!! The food is great, my comp is Sister Jessie Linford, we meet awhile back and had lunch after finding eachother on Facebook of all places. She is an amazing person, so strong in the gospel and is really great at dealing with all my crazy desires to go and climb trees and hang upside down on the pull up bar (pictures to follow). The language program is inspired. I have all ready taught two lessons in German, the first one we won't talk about however the second on was amazing! The spirit was there, communication was up with both Ben our investigator understand our broken German and Linford and I being able to understand most of what he said IF he talked extremly slowly and used simple words...but its only been less then 5 days and for that time I would say that even that was a miracle. It has been diffrent then I even thought it would be, harder in some areas that I did not expect and easier in some that for sure the spirit is helping me with.
You know I have a new found love for Sister missionaries. Despite being a sister missionary I think I came in here believing that I would be surrounded by all these 'sweet spirits'. However I have meet some amazing sisters that have taken some really hard roads to get here in the MTC and they are better people because of it. I am SO thankful for the atonement of Jesus Christ, it has gotten me and many others here to the MTC. During this week I have learned even more so that it is not just the mistakes that it makes up for, but that it comforts during the hard times. It gives hope during the dark days. When you are not so sure about the path that you are headed down, it continues to offer strength. I LOVE MY SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST! I am so thankful to be here going through these good/hard experinces. It has already given my a new insight on the atonement and on how much my Savior does love me and everyone else. For goodness sakes He asks those in the prime of their lives who have been blessed with the gospel to go forth with His love to teach those who are lost, to teach those people that our Savior Jesus Christ, the king of kings, the Alpha and Omaga, Him who has created EVERYTHING, LOVES them. Ya'll its all about the love. 'For God so loved (you and all those around you so much) that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have even lasting life'.
You guys thank you so much for all the support. I know that this is truly what the Lord is wanting from me. It is not easy, and it is something that I might not have choosen, however I have felt the spirit conform many times that I need to learn things, and this is the way He would like me to learn them.
All my love,
Sister Kimberly Bohne (Pronounced Bow-na in German)
